The students learn about the Westfjords from the point of view of the tour guide.
Course description
This course is an overview of the knowledge and experience that the students have gained during the winter courses.
The students study different tools, such as topography, with regard to natural conditions and landscape, as well as stories from annals, the Icelandic sagas and elsewhere.
Students practice summarising information regarding a particular area or areas, and create a plan and tour guide script for the area.
The focus is on planning and guiding short trips in the Westfjords.
Skills at the end of the course:
Students know how to plan and guide short and long tours in the Westfjords.
